Put your myQR code on your business card.

Print it on the back. Anyone who scans it opens your card in their browser, with no app, and can swap details with you from there.

It keeps opening your card.

Plenty of QR codes die when a trial ends. Yours points at your myQR card, so it keeps working as long as your card does.

  • Edit the card, not the box of cards

The code opens your myQR card. Change your number, your job or your photo, and every card you've handed out shows the new details.

  • A new code doesn't strand the old one

Replace your code and the one you printed still opens your card. It only stops counting scans.

  • No trial to run out

myQR is free to sign up, and your code doesn't expire.

  • What does stop it

Pausing your card, deleting it, or changing your username after you've replaced the code. Each one is your call.

  1. 1

    Make your card

Sign up, claim your username and add the details you want to share.

  2. 2

    Download your code

On the web, open Card and choose Download QR for a PNG, or Download SVG from the menu beside it. In the app, open Share and tap Save QR to Photos.

  3. 3

    Send it to your printer

Put it on the back of your card. Most printers take the PNG; send the SVG if they ask for vector art.

Both files are print-ready: a square white plate with a four-module border, the quiet zone the QR standard asks for.

Print it so it scans.

  • At least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide

Measure it with its white border. Bigger is fine.

  • Keep the white border

The border is part of what a camera looks for, so don't crop it or print over it.

  • Dark on white

Leave the colours as they are. Don't invert it, recolour it or set it on a photo.

  • Away from the edges

Keep it flat and at least 3 mm (⅛ in) inside the trim line, clear of folds and rounded corners.

  • Say what it does

A short line beside it, such as “Scan to save my contact”, tells people what they'll get.

  • Scan the proof

Before you order the box, scan the printer's proof with two different phones.

What they see when they scan it.

Your name, photo and headline, the links you've made public, and a short form to swap details. Your phone number and email open once you approve them, so a card left on a counter never hands them out.

Common questions

Will my printed code stop working?
Not while your card is active. It keeps opening your card when you edit it and when you replace the code. Pausing your card, deleting it, or changing your username after you've replaced the code are the only things that stop it.
Can I change my details after I print?
Yes. The code opens your myQR card, not a copy of your details, so every card you've handed out shows what's on your card today.
What size should the QR code be on a business card?
At least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide, counting its white border. Bigger is fine. Keep it dark on white and away from the trim line.
Should I send my printer the PNG or the SVG?
Most printers take the PNG. If they ask for vector art, send the SVG. It stays sharp at any size.
Does the person I meet need an app?
No. Their phone's camera opens your card in the browser. They don't need an app or an account.

Print it once.
