Terms of Service
Last updated May 2026
These terms apply when you create or use a myQR account. By signing up you agree to them. Read them alongside the Privacy Policy.
What myQR is
myQR gives every person one public card at myqr.com/your-handle and a revocable QR code that points at it. Visitors can save you to their contacts; you can save them back. Free for individuals; paid tiers (Pro, Teams) may add team branding, advanced analytics, and other features.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for the accuracy of what you put on your card. One person, one account. You must be old enough to enter into a contract under your local law (13+ in most jurisdictions; higher where required).
Your handle (the part after myqr.com/) is unique. We let you change it, with a short cooldown between changes so existing printed cards and shared links keep working predictably.
Your content, your rights
The contact details, photos, bio, and links you put on your card are yours. By using myQR you grant us only the permissions we need to run the service: to store your content, render it on your public card to visitors, generate share previews of it for social platforms, and export it as a downloadable vCard when a visitor asks. We do not claim ownership of anything you put on your card.
Don't post content you don't have the rights to. If you remove a piece of content from your card, we stop displaying it; we cannot retrieve copies that visitors already saved to their contacts before you removed it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use myQR to:
- Impersonate another person or organization, or claim a handle that misleads about who you are.
- Phish, defraud, or trick scanners into providing money or credentials.
- Share unlawful content, harassment, threats, or content that violates someone else's rights.
- Spam, scrape, or run automated traffic against the service, or attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or authentication.
- Reverse-engineer or interfere with the service's normal operation.
We may suspend or remove accounts that do these things, and retain logs needed to investigate or respond to a report.
Connections and contact data
When someone scans or opens your card and saves you, a snapshot of the contact details that were visible to them at that moment is copied to their connections list. They keep that snapshot even if you later hide a field or delete your account — it already lives in their contact list. Same the other way around: anything they share with you stays with you. This is the point of an exchange, not a leak.
Availability
We work to keep myQR fast and reliable. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or able to scan every printed code in every camera app on every device on every network. Free accounts come with no uptime commitment.
Paid plans (when available)
Paid features (Pro, Teams) carry the price shown at checkout and renew on the term you choose. You can cancel a paid plan at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your account drops back to the free tier without losing your card.
Termination
You can delete your account from Settings at any time. We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that we are required to remove by law. When an account is terminated, the card returns a generic "not available" response — we don't leak the existence of removed accounts.
Our intellectual property
The myQR name, logo, design system, source code, and product are ours. These terms give you a limited license to use the service as intended; they do not transfer any of the foregoing to you.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, for lost profits or data, for third-party content shared via a myQR card, or for issues caused by misuse of the service. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free account, is zero).
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits; where that applies, the limit is the smallest amount permitted by your local law.
Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which myQR is established (to be finalized after legal review), without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. We will first try to resolve any dispute by talking with you; if that fails, the courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable rights you have under your local consumer law.
Changes
We will update these terms when the service changes. Material changes will be surfaced in-product the next time you sign in; continuing to use myQR after that constitutes acceptance.
